FORM STRAIGHT IMAGES
For my form photos, I took them at home. The set up I thought would best reflect the objects would be a white or black background. For this leaf I decided to use a white background so that the shadow would be seen on the white paper. I think this image worked really well because you can see the shadow and the detail of the leaf
I really like the simplicity of this image, it really makes the strawberry have more of an impact. The shadow just in front of the strawberry shows that its a 3D object and makes it more realistic. I also really like the colour contrast between the shadowed and light part of the strawberry.
This flower is one of the best images I took. The detail of the petals and the leaves makes it very interesting. The way the petals curve either side gives a really detailed form and a very delicate feel. I also took a picture of this from the front to show a different perspective of the flower but I prefer the one from the base because of the green thats in it.
This image is of my dogs teddy, I tried to capture the form of the body and the way the legs and ears lay. I think this turned out very well because of the way you can see the teddy sitting, and the shadows that are cast on the background. I also like the detail that you can see of the toy which makes an even more interesting photo.
This is an example of one of the images I took on the black background. I decided to take this one on a black background because it would stand out more, on the white I thought it would blend in too much. To make the picture just a little bit different I decided to drip blue paint down the sides in order to add some colour and so that the drops would trace the form of the pebbles.
I like this image because I thought it showed a different form. The creases in the pointe shoe really show up under the flash and make shadows in the satin. I really like the way the foot in turned out and shows the form of the shoe and foot.
Several images look quite surreal due to the way they were photographed well done...
