Texture Straight Images

Texture Straight Images

I like this image because it shows the texture of the stones relatively well. I think the perspective of it is different too as it is taken from a dutch angle, making the stones go diagonally across the photo. This causes your eyes to follow the image from one corner to the other.

When I was taking pictures it was raining so I thought that the rain drops would make a good texture. At first glance at this image, the rain drops aren't very obvious however when I edited it they really stood out which made this one of my best pictures.

Out of all the pictures I took of texture, this is by far my favourite. I love the way the material looks under the flash, you can see every detail of it. The creases in the material cast shadows underneath giving it a good 3D look.

I enjoy this image because the contrast between the smooth and tiled textures look really good together, it's a good example of showing how different materials show up on camera. The colours of the image look aesthetically pleasing together, they really reflect off one another.

When I took this image the sun was providing harsh light straight on the wood. This made the texture of the wood stand out more than it would have before. I find the grains of the wood very interesting to look at as it includes a lot of detail.

  1. a good series, the last image might look better in black and white with more contrast...
