Denotation - The literal or primary meaning of a word.
Connotation - something suggested or implied by a word or thing. A feeling it gives you.
This is an image of a pink flower, in front of leafs. The flower is in the foreground and is slightly out of focus, most of the focus is on the leafs in the background. This makes you not only look at the flower but to look deeper into the image at the leafs. The flower gives us a sense of beauty from nature but also may reminds us of love. We give flowers as a signal of affection so an image like this may remind someone of those feelings of love.
