Planning

Evaluation - When taking this image I was very focused on capturing the curve of the roof. I think I did this well as I concentrated on the highest part of the roof which illustrated the bend. To take this photo I stood just in front of the rim of the image so that I could just focus on the curve and the sky, as to not overcomplicate the image. In my opinion this worked well as the image is very clear and simple but still effective. I think this image really reflects the quiet and tranquility that curves represent because of how still and simple the image is.
Editing - When editing this image I didn't want to change too much about it as I liked the colour and thought it was vibrant before. However I did decide to increase the vibrancy further to 31, this really makes the blue of the roof stand out even more against the sky. I also used curves to makes the dark areas like in the rim of the roof even darker, this added a bit more dimension to the image. Using curves I made the whites in the image brighter, this made the sky look more clear and the light reflecting of the metal rim shine.
Development - This image is one of the favourite ones I took, so there isn't much I would change about it. However if I was to take it again I would probably stand under the roof slightly more so that I could get a more interesting perspective and a different angle to the curve.

Editing - When it came to editing this image I wanted to give it a whole different feel, a lot more effective and dark than it originally was. I decided to make it black and white so that even the faint reflection of the net would stand out as much as the actual net. To do this I used curves, by making the darks in the image darker it made the lines more sharp and defined. Then by making the whites in the image lighter it made the suns reflection on the table brighter and the white line that wasn't visible before, an important part of the image.
Development - There isn't much I would change about this image if i was to do it again because I think i got the right angle and the right amount of zoom on the object. However there is something on the table in the lower right hand corner that I would try to clear off if I took they image again.
Image 3
Editing - The aim when editing this image was to make all of the colours more saturated so the picture had a more happy and saturated feel to it. The first thing I done to do this was edited the saturation of certain colours, I made the saturation of the green, red and purple higher so that these colours would be the ones that stood out in the image. Secondly I used curves to darken the black undertone colours in the image. This made the dark metal colour of the curves stand out significantly and the stems of the flowers darken and a bit more defined.
Development - If I was to take this image again I would try and get the flowers in the background further down the image so they are central in the curve. To do this I would take it from a higher point, to make the flowers appear lower.
Image that requires improvement
Out of all 24 images I took, I think this one requires the most improvement. I think this because the intended main focal point of the image with is the corner of the railing is off centre. This makes the image less effective as it doesn't have the right perspective. Another thing I would change about this image is the background confusion. As you can see there is a person's feet on the right-hand side which made the image look unprofessional.

very good analysis, you need to correct for grammar I can see a few "i"'s and wrt to the further improvement think of ways of getting the picture in focus on the railings... you can either use manual focus or spot focus ...
ReplyDeleteps you need to mention the above in the post.
